Customizing the BPM Environment

The BPM environment includes a set of parameters and configuration options that define various aspects of the model content and behavior. You can set these parameters:

• Specifying the BPM Language
  A process language contains specifications for a particular language. It provides PowerDesigner with the syntax and guidelines for implementing stereotypes, scripts and constants for a process language. The availability of some objects depends on the language you choose. For example orchestration languages do not support data objects.
• Setting BPM Model Options
  This section explains how to set global option for the objects in your BPM.
• Setting BPM Display Preferences
  PowerDesigner display preferences allow you to customize the format of object symbols, and the information that is displayed on them.
• Extending Your Modeling Environment with Extended Model Definitions
  Extended model definitions (.XEM files) allow you to customize and extend PowerDesigner metaclasses, parameters and generation.
• Creating Links with Extended Dependencies
  Extended dependencies can be created between any model objects, including between objects in different models. They are used for documentation purposes only, and are not interpreted or checked by PowerDesigner.
