Tablespace Checks (PDM)

PowerDesigner provides default model checks to verify the validity of tablespaces.

Check	Description and Correction
Tablespace name and code uniqueness	Tablespace names and codes must be unique in the model. Manual correction: Modify the duplicate name/code Automatic correction: Appends a number to the duplicate name/code
Tablespace code maximum length	The code of the tablespace is longer than the maximum allowed by the DBMS. Manual correction: Reduce the length of the code Automatic correction: Reduces the code to a permissible length
Tablespace not used	The tablespace you have created is not used in the model. Manual correction: Delete the tablespace or apply the tablespace as a physical option to a table, an index, a key, a column, a storage or a view (Options tab of the object property sheet) Automatic correction: None
