If your system is not updated with Microsoft's runtime C++ (Service Pack 1) support package for Visual Studio 2005 you must update your system. You can find this support package on Microsoft’s Web site.
Required operating system patches for 32bit systems:
install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributed Package (x86).
Required operating system patches for 64bit systems:
install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributed Package (x64).
If you are using ODBC, OLE DB or ADO.NET Drivers, then
you must have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 installed
on your system. The installer produces errors during installation
and the drivers do not function without this service pack installed.
To check whether you have this service pack installed:
Open Add or Remove Programs item from the Control Panel. If NET Framework is listed under the Currently installed programs then you do not need to update your system.
