CR# Description
624331 Installer cannot find required components.

On Windows Vista, the PowerBuilder setup program sometimes reports that it cannot find one or more components and prompts you to reinstall PowerBuilder. At other times, the installation may complete successfully, but the same error message appears when you start the PowerBuilder .NET IDE.

Workaround: Remove the error message:
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Manually install the Visual Studio Isolated Shell (vs_shell_isolated.enu.exe in the Support directory).
  3. Manually install the hotfixes (VS90SP1-KB958017-x86.exe and VS90SP1-KB975247-x86.exe in the Support directory).
  4. Select Start > Run and type cmd in the Run dialog box.
  5. Go to the Sybase\PowerBuilder 12.0 directory using the DOS change directory command (CD).
  6. Type regshell.bat.
623693 Local SySAM license may cause failure when server license is installed.

If you install PowerBuilder using a local license on a SySAM license server, the setup program may fail.

Workaround: Install PowerBuilder on the license server with an evaluation license, then update the license from the Tools menu of a PowerBuilder IDE.

607351 Error message appears during SQL Anywhere installation.

On the last step of the SQL Anywhere installer in the PowerBuilder setup program, you may see this message: Invalid license data. Reinstall is required.

Workaround: Click OK to dismiss the dialog box. The SQL Anywhere installation completes normally.
