Configuring Monitor Server

You can configure a Monitor Server for each instance in the cluster using the sybcluster create monitorserver command.To configure a Monitor Server for each instance:

1. Start sybcluster. For example, to start sybcluster and specify Unified Agents on the nodes “blade1”, “blade2”, and “blade3”, enter:

   sybcluster -U uafadmin -P -F "blade1:1234,blade2:2345,blade3:3456"
   

2. Connect to the cluster. For example, to connect to “mycluster”:

   connect to mycluster
   

3. Start the cluster:

   start cluster
   

4. To configure the Monitor Server, enter:

   create monitorserver
   

   For each instance, Adaptive Server prompts you for:

   • The Monitor Server port number

   • A user name

   • A password
