Manually Registering a Publisher for Operations Console

Configure publishers so Operations Console can monitor and control them.

In a production environment, administrators configure publishers from the OpsConsole.

In a development environment, you can set up the OpsConsole and configure publishers from there, or configure publishers manually as described here.

• Configuring the Agent for a Publisher
  Enable communication between the agent and the publisher by configuring properties in the agent-plugin.xml file.
• Registering an Agent to the JINI Server
  Configure the specified property within the service-config.xml file to register the agent to the JINI server so Operations Console can display the agent on the monitor page.
• Configuring Multiple Publishers
  To configure multiple publishers on the same machine use the service-config.xml file.
• Updating the Environment Variables for Custom Publishers
  Update the environment variables in the myenv file for each publisher you create.
