Unsupported Datatypes

Sybase RAP does not support large object binary or text, money, float, char or varchar, and bit datatypes.

Sybase RAP does not support the following datatypes:

LOB (large object binary or text)
MONEY datatype(however, SMALLMONEY is supported)
FLOAT
CHAR or VARCHAR datatypes with size greater than 255. They have their data truncated on INSERT at 255 characters.
BIT

In addition, Sybase RAP does not support RDS message definitions that reference a table having a CHAR or VARCHAR column that is non-null and has a default value, where that column is not explicitly set by the RDS message.
