Moving PowerDesigner Extensions

Use ftpto move extension files from UNIX to Windows.

1. On the machine where you installed the PowerDesigner extensions, locate: $RAP/PowerDesignerExtensions/PowerDesignerExtensions.zip .
   The same extensions file is installed on any machine: RAPCache or RAPStore server, publisher, or other machine.
2. Use ftp to move the data models to the Windows machine where PowerDesigner is installed.
3. On the Windows machine, unzip the files to the folder where PowerDesigner is installed. SelectUsing folder names .
   The unzipped archive should result in these folders:

   • PowerDesigner_install_folder\PowerDesignerExtensions\Examples\RAP contains the RAPMessages.ldm (sample RAP messages), the RAPCache.pdm, RAPStore.pdm (sample RAPCache, and RAPStore models), and the RAP.prj (sample RAP project).
   • PowerDesigner_install_folder\PowerDesignerExtensions\Resource Files\Extended Model Definitions contains the RAPMessages.xem, RAPCache.xem, and RAPStore.xem (extended model definitions).
   • PowerDesigner_install_folder\PowerDesignerExtensions\Resource Files\Model Category contains RAP.mcc (model category set).
