Obtaining Licenses

Obtain valid SySAM licenses. Sybase Software Asset Management (SySAM) performs license administration and asset management tasks for Sybase products.

Prerequisites
Access the Sybase Product Download Center (SPDC), choose the product and version, and agree to software terms and conditions. Authorized contacts automatically receive SPDC login and password information in an e-mail message.

The SPDC grants download access to Sybase product releases to authorized contact personnel. You must be logged into SPDC to dynamically generate license keys for RAP.

  1. From the SPDC Product Information page, click the License Keys link.
  2. Choose the applicable license, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click Select to Generate.
  3. Choose the appropriate license model and click Next.
  4. Specify the number of licenses you want to generate.
  5. Add the server host ID, host name, and, optionally, port number. Click Generate.

    The View Licenses page displays your license information.

  6. Click Download License File to save your license file to disk.
