RAPCache Database with Data Preserved

Verify the successful migration of the RAPCache Database with data preserved.

Prerequisites The migration installation is complete and the RAPCache database is successfully installed on the machine.

To verify the update of the RAPCache Database with data preserved:

  1. Go to <RAP_R2_Installdir>/RAPCache.
  2. Source SYBASE.sh .
  3. Change to the directory ASE-15_0/install.
  4. Start the RAPCache server if it is not currently running: ./startserver -f RUN_RAPCache &. If you used a different name for the RAPCache server, execute RUN_<servername>. Only do this if your server is not currently running.
  5. Log in to your RAPCache server.
  6. Go to the model database.
  7. Run the SQL command select count(*) from CURRENCY. Verify that this count number is the same value as the count number value prior to migrating the database.
