Copying Configuration Files

Copy the specified files from the previous installation directory into the new installation directory. This is done for the Demo Feed Handler, FAST Feed Handler, RAPCache Subscriber, RAPStore Subscriber, and Demo Subscriber. When the configuration files are copied over, the components are fully configured to run in the RAP R3 installation environment.

Prerequisites The migration installation is complete and the components are installed on the machine. The previous installation is still on the machine.
Copy the following configuration files:
  1. Copy Service-config.xml from <RAP_ R2_Install>/<component>/ua/services/RMI/service-config.xml to <RAP_R3_Install>/<component>/ua/services/RMI/service-config.xml. Also copy this file from <RAP_R2_Install>/RAPStore/ua/services/RMI/service-config.xml to <RAP_R3_Install>/RAPStore/ua/services/RMI/service-config.xml as well.
  2. Copy Service-config.xml from <RAP_R2_Install>/<component>/ua/services/Discovery/service-config.xml to <RAP_R3_Install>/<component>/ua/services/Discovery/service-config.xml . Also copy this file from <RAP_R2_Install>/RAPStore/ua/services/Discovery/service-config.xml to <RAP_R3_Install>/RAPStore/ua/services/Discovery/service-config.xml as well.
  3. Copy Config files from <RAP_R2_Install>/<component>/config/* to <RAP_R3_Install>/<component>/config. “Config files” refers to any configuration file from the config folder that should be copied from the previous RAP version to the new version.
  4. Copy Templates from <RAP_R2_Install>/<component>/templates/<user defined templates> to <RAP_R3_Install>/<component>/templates. <user defined templates> are any user-defined templates a user may have created.
