Validating a Model

Check the validity of your model at any time, but especially after message changes, before generating message templates, code, or a physical model.

  2. Choose Tools > Check Model (F4).
  3. In the Options tab of Check Model Parameters, expand the containers and choose validation checks.

    • (Default and recommended) Disable Existence of Relationship under Message Definition.
  4. In the Selection tab, navigate to the Message Definitions subtab and select message definitions to check:
    • Select or unselect check boxes.
    • Choose a named selection.
    • If you selected messages in your diagram before starting the model check, you can select them for checking by clicking Use Graphical Selection Use Graphical Selection in the Selection tab toolbar.
