System Configuration

Administrators can use the System Configuration subtab to troubleshoot configuration issues.

The System Configuration subtab displays connections to and from components that have been correctly or incorrectly configured.

The System View pane shows component connections within the RAP system. Publishers appear in the left side, subscribers in the middle, and RAPCache and RAPStores on the right. Publishers, RAPCache, and RAPStores sort alphabetically. Subscribers are grouped according to the RAPCache or Store databases they use, and then alphabetically by name. Colored lines connect components. Move your mouse over a component icon to see lines in bold, which indicates different component connections.

For each component, the subtab shows the name, host name, edit icon, and an icon indicating existing configuration problems.

Click the edit icon to access the Edit Component Configuration page to view and edit component configuration files.

Click any publisher or subscriber to access the Component View page.

• Viewing System Information
  Use the System View pane to view, verify, and edit the status and connections for publishers, subscribers, RAPStore, and RAPCache databases.
• Viewing Component Information
  Use Component View panes, accessible from the System Configuration subtab, to see the component connections of a particular publisher or subscriber as well as configuration errors.
• Configuring Components
  Use the System View or Component View pane to edit and configure properties for the publishers, subscribers, RAPStore, and RAPCache databases.
