The Cluster Edition version 15.0.3 includes two membership modes, native and vcs. The membership mode dictates whether the Cluster Edition's internal membership manager (CMS) functions autonomously (in native mode, the default setting) or in cooperation with Veritas clusterware (in vcs mode).
