See the Installation Guide for instructions for creating Backup Server, Monitor Server, and XP Server using sybcluster. You can also use the Adaptive Server plug-in to create auxiliary servers.

If you create multiple Backup Servers, all instances in the cluster must have a Backup Server. You can create a single Backup Server for one or more nodes.
If you create Monitor Servers or XP Servers, you must create them for all instances in the cluster.
