Chapter 14: Administering Clusters Using sybcluster

sybcluster is an interactive utility that allows you to perform administrative tasks for the cluster from the command line.

You can use sybcluster to create a cluster, add an instance, start and stop a cluster or instance, display status information, and so on. Alternatively, you can perform these tasks using the Adaptive Server plug-in for Sybase Central as described in Chapter 13, “Administering Clusters with the Adaptive Server Plug-in.”

You cannot manage temporary databases or logical clusters using sybcluster.

For complete syntax and usage information for the sybcluster commands, see Chapter 16, “The sybcluster Utility.”
