New Features and Support

This section provides a list of new features of Adaptive Server Cluster Edition.

The Cluster Edition of Adaptive Server version 15.0.3 contains features that were introduced in Adaptive Server 15.0.2 and later.

Adaptive Server 15.0.3 Cluster Edition

This edition includes these features and system changes:

Multiple backup server – support to configure multiple Backup Servers to perform dump and load operations. See Chapter 5, “Using Backup Server in a Clustered Environment,” in the Clusters Users Guide.
LDAP support for sybcluster and ASE plug-in – See Chapter 3, “Using Security with a Clustered Environment,” in the Clusters Users Guide.
Local configuration for shared-disk clusters – support to specify local configurations. See Chapter 10, “Additional Topics,” in the Clusters Users Guide.
Java Virtual Machine support in a clustered environment – see Chapter 10, “Additional Topics,” in the Clusters Users Guide.
Veritas integration – support to configure and use the Cluster Edition with the Veritas Storage Foundation (SF) for Sybase CE. See Chapter 11, “Using the Cluster Edition with the Veritas Cluster Server,” of the Clusters Users Guide.
Note: Veritas certification is performed on a 2-node cluster where Adaptive Server 15.0.3 Cluster Edition can be installed on CFS file system and database devices using CVM raw partitions.
