Use the ma_admin -u option to upgrade instances of Mirror Replication Agent. See “Using the ma_admin utility”.
The ma_admin -u source_installation_dir can be used to upgrade instances of Mirror Replication Agent in the specified directory from the current installation directory. This is sufficient if the ma_admin utility is being used after a major release, because the specified installation directory will be different from the current installation directory. However, to upgrade a Mirror Replication Agent instance after an ESD or EBF has been applied, the current installation directory name has not changed. The upgrade must take place within the same directory. In this case, the ma_admin -u source_installation_dir cannot be used. In this case, you must use ma_admin -u all or ma_admin -u instance_name|instance=instance_name to upgrade an instance or instances.
