For ASE: Skip this procedure if you use the snapshot materialization mount database option for a standby database in Adaptive Server version 12.5.1 or later.

You must have a system administrator user role in the
standby database to perform this procedure.
Shutting down the standby data server
Log in to the standby database with a system administrator user role.
Shut down the standby data server:
shutdown
