Installing from the Command Line

To run the installer without the graphical user interface (GUI), launch the Installer in console or non-GUI mode.

Add the -is:javaconsole -console command to the command line argument.

The flow of the consoles installation is identical to that of a GUI installation, except that the display outputs to a terminal window and responses are entered using the keyboard.

  1. Change the default directory to the CD or DVD directory.
  2. Run the setup program with the -is:javaconsole -console command line argument: 
    setup -is:javaconsole -console
