You can build Open Client applications using the Open Client libraries directly from a C or C++ programming environment such as Powersoft Power++, as long as the applications use only catalog tables, views and system stored procedures that are supported by both Adaptive Server Enterprise (Transact-SQL syntax) and Sybase IQ. The appendix “Transact-SQL Compatibility,” in the Sybase IQ Reference Manual describes how to create compatible applications.
