Remote databases targeted by a MobiLink server replication process contain all the standard database tabs, along with the MobiLink tab and the Users tab, the properties of which are listed below:

MobiLink synchronization users
|
Specifies a list of users and passwords for the remote database. You can choose from one of the following values:

List of users – uses the list of user names and passwords that are specified in the Users tab.

List of users from a file – uses user names and passwords specified in a CSV file. You must specify the path to the file in the File name box or select a file by clicking the Select File tool to the right of the box. User names and passwords must be separated by a tab space, and there must be only one user name/password couple per line.

Range of users – uses a range of users, without specifying user names and passwords. The user name and password will be generated from a template. You must specify the number of users, the first user number, the user name template and the password template. The default value <UserNo> represents the user number.

MobiLink server connection
|
Specifies the connection information to the MobiLink server. You have to specify the following values:

Synchronization type – specifies the type of the synchronization for the user (Active Sync, http, https, tcpip).

Host name – specifies the name of the machine where the MobiLink server runs for the user.

Port number – specifies the port number of the MobiLink server for the user.

Network parameters – specify the network parameters for the user.

Option clause – specifies extended options for subscriptions.

Users Tab
This tab lets you specify a list of user names and passwords to identify the people allowed to connect to the database, and is only available when:

The remote database is targeted by a MobiLink server, in which you have specified a subscription to a publication.

The List of users radio button in the MobiLink tab is selected.
