Chapter 3: Data Replication

IQ connection remains in a DOWN state upon creation.

Symptom

RepServer log reports the following errors:

Solution

The maintenance user (rsuser) must be a member of the rs_systabgroup group. To accomplish this, the IQ administrator must execute the following from an Interactive SQL or isql session:

grant membership in group rs_systabgroup to rsuser 

Or the IQ administrator may use IQ's Sybase Central Java Edition. Highlight the maintenance user (rsuser) and select File | New | Memberships from the menu. Then select the rs_systabgroup group for the rsuser to join.
