You can use Sybase Central’s RSM plug-in to manage a replication system that includes non-Sybase data servers. The following requirements and restrictions apply:
You must configure an Open Server gateway application for each non-Sybase data server and complete the interface described in “Interfacing with foreign data servers”.
The logical view of the Replication Server tree will not be visible in Sybase Central, but you can view data-specific information about replication definitions, subscriptions, and publications in the property sheets for Replication Server and the database.
You cannot use Sybase Central to create replication definitions or publications, but you can use Sybase Central to create subscriptions for replication definitions or publications created with RCL commands and a utility program such as isql.
