INET_DBPATH

Description

Specifies the Informix DBPATH setting. The DBPATH environment variable identifies a list of directories that contain Informix databases. INET_DBPATH typically specifies the location of Informix databases if this is other than in a directory on the database server.

Syntax

INET_DBPATH = 'server_db_path'

Parameter	Description
server_db_path	The name of the directory containing Informix databases

Default

By default, InfoMaker uses the value specified for DBPATH in the Informix.INI configuration file.

Examples

Example 1

To specify that the directory /HOME/Informix contains Informix databases, type /home/Informix in the Database Path box on the Network tab in the Database Profile Setup dialog box.

Example 2

You can specify values for INET_DBPATH, INET_PROTOCOL, and INET_SERVICE together. To specify that the directory /Informix contains Informix databases and that you want to connect using the SE9 service and the TCP/IP network protocol, type /Informix in the Database Path box, SE9 in the Service Name box, and tcp-ip in the Protocol Type box on the Network tab in the Database Profile Setup dialog box.
