Upgrading Sybase Developer Edition Servers

If you have an earlier version of Sybase WorkSpace installed, you must run the installers for both Sybase WorkSpace and Sybase Developer Edition Servers to perform a complete upgrade to version 1.5.

The upgrade process does not overwrite any user-added plugins. It simply deletes and replaces existing files.

To upgrade Sybase Developer Edition Servers

Use CD #1 and #2 to install Sybase WorkSpace.

Use CD #2 and #3 to install Sybase Developer Edition Servers.

Once the upgrade process starts, you must finish it. You cannot cancel the upgrade process.
If you are upgrading to Unwired Orchestrator 5.1 Developer Edition server, execute the append-csijars.bat file. Do the following:
1. Shutdown all Sybase WorkSpace servers.
2. In a command window, change to the following directory:
  
  <installation directory>\DevRuntimes\UO\install_data\eas
3. Open the append-csijars.bat file using a text editor.
4. Replace the token [UO_HOME] with the Unwired Orchestrator installation path. For example:
  
  <installation directory>\DevRuntimes\UO
5. Verify that the environment variables are set correctly in the following file:
  
  <installation directory>\DevRuntimes\UO\bin\setenv.cmd
6. In a command window, execute the following:
  
  append-csijars.bat
Start each of the servers.

Reinstall and redeploy all service packages to Unwired Orchestrator 5.1.
