If you already have Unwired Orchestrator installed, the installer installs the Database Event Management component into the same directory as Unwired Orchestrator.
To install Database Event
Management on Windows
Prerequisites: Verify that you are logged onto the server with administrative rights. See “Administrative Rights” for more information.
Insert the Unwired Orchestrator CD-ROM.
Start the installer:
If your machine is configured to autorun from the CD-ROM, InstallShield Wizard automatically starts.
If your machine is not configured to autorun from the CD-ROM, do the following:
Select Start>Run from the Windows Start menu.
In the Run dialog box, browse to locate the setup file:
<CD-ROM drive>:\setup.exe
Click OK.
The Installer Welcome window appears.
To initiate the installation process, click Next on the Installer Welcome window.
The License Agreement window appears.
From the drop-down list, select the geographic location for your
installation of the software.
The license agreement appears in the main section of the window. If you do not see the agreement, scroll down.
Select the appropriate option to accept the terms of the Sybase license, and click Next. You must accept the terms of the license to continue with the installation.
The License Key window appears.
Enter the license key supplied with your installation media, and click Next.
Specify an installation directory. Choose from the following:
Click Next to accept the default directory.
Designate a different directory. Type or browse for a directory name. Note that the installation directory is case sensitive.
Click Next to continue.
The Installer checks for sufficient disk space, and the Installation Summary window appears.
Click Install to begin installing the product.
The installer displays the progress of the installation.
Click Finish when the following message appears:
The InstallShield Wizard has successfully installed Unwired Orchestrator 5.0.
To install Database Event Management on Solaris
Prerequisites: Verify that you are logged onto the server with administrative rights. See “Administrative Rights” for more information.
Navigate to where the CD-ROM is mounted.
Run the setup command.
The Installer Welcome window appears.
Click Next on the installer Welcome window.
The License Agreement window appears.
Select the geographic location from the drop-down list for your installation of the software.
The license agreement appears in the main section of the window. If you do not see the agreement, scroll down.
Select the appropriate option to accept the terms of the Sybase license, and click Next. You must accept the terms of the license to continue with the installation.
The License Key window appears.
Enter the license key supplied with your installation media, and click Next.
Specify an installation directory. Choose from the following:
Click Next to accept the default directory.
Designate a different directory. Type in or browse for an installation directory. Note that the directory name is case sensitive.
Click Next to continue.
The Install checks disk space. If space is sufficient, the Installation Summary window appears.

Unmount the CD-ROM. Enter the following:
umount /<mnt-dir>
If you are running Volume Management, type eject.
