When you add or modify SFM properties, the Log Files tab in the Properties window has a Sync Write option. When this option is selected, the SFM is instructed to open the log file with options that cause the write( ) function to block further processing until the data is physically on the disk.Use this option only when your UNIX system does not have UPS backup, or is prone to panic traps.
The SFM General tab also has an Availability option that lets you define when the SFM can receive data. This parameter works on all distributed function calls (DFCs) used as entry points by acquisition AIMs such as route_recx.
