Resolving a Quartz RMI Registry Port Conflict

Resolve port conflicts for the Quartz RMI Registry by changing the default port number in the Quartz properties file.

  1. Open the following files using a text editor:
    Table 1. Server Files
    Feature Server
    Quartz RMI Registry

    For Windows:

    <installation directory>\SC\quartz\quartz.properties

    <installation directory>\SC\quartz\quartzServer.properties

    <installation directory>\EAServer\bin\quartz.properties

    <installation directory>\EAServer\devbin\quartz.properties

    For UNIX:

    <installation directory>/SC/quartz/quartz.properties

    <installation directory>/SC/quartz/quartzServer.properties

    <installation directory>/EAServer/bin/quartz.properties

    <installation directory>/EAServer/devbin/quartz.properties

  2. Search for instances of port number 2099 in this file and change the default port number to a new, unused Quartz server port number.
  3. Save and close the file.
  4. Close and relaunch Service Container.
