Application Server Clustering

Use clustering to mitigate failover and optimize performance.

If a processing node within a cluster fails, an alternate or backup processing node within the cluster executes the application to mitigate failover. Additionally, you can optimize performance by scaling event requests across processing nodes within a cluster.

To enable clustering, host Service Container components on multiple EAServer application servers.

Note: If a business process is exposed over multiple file transports within a cluster, consider the following:

High availability/failover can be successfully achieved. If the primary node is down, secondary nodes take over.
Improved performance does not occur. Primary nodes have access to the inbound transport, leaving secondary nodes locked out.
