If the cursor is updatable, use the update or delete statement to update or delete rows. Adaptive Server determines whether the cursor is updatable by checking the select_statement that defines the cursor. You can also explicitly define a cursor as updatable with the for update clause of the declare cursor statement. See “Making cursors updatable” for more information.
