Use the Cluster Administrator to verify the configuration of MSCS is correct:
There should be a new cluster resource of type “Sybase Companion Server” for each companion that can fail over. An asymmetric setup, has one of these resources; a symmetric setup, has two of these resources.
The names of these resources are same as the names of the primary and secondary companions they are managing. For example, if you created an asymmetric setup where PERSONNEL1 is the secondary companion for MONEY1, there should be a new cluster resource called MONEY1.
The cluster resources described above belong in their own group, named companion_name_GRP, where companion_name is the name of the companion server resources it contains.
The cluster group should contain one for each physical cluster disk upon which the companion’s data devices reside.
