Use the Write to Probe ancillary activity in the Properties View to associate a process probe to an activity. The output is encoded using UTF-8.
Probes have both a static and a dynamic aspect. The process probe name and probe elements, defined when you add the probe, are static because the information monitored is the same for each activity. The probe state, which associates the probe to an activity and is defined using Write to Probe, is dynamic because it can be reused across activities and changes based on how it is defined for each activity.
