Service Editor

Use the Service Editor to view services and make changes to database and messaging services. Web services cannot be edited.

You can edit and remove the Port Types, Operations, and Ports for database and messaging services using the basic edit and remove functionality. See GUI Basics for information about those basic functions.  If the service you edited has a copy in the Service Library, drag and drop the edited copy from the Orchestration Navigator to update the copy in the Service Library.

The Service Editor provides the following views of a service that can be accessed from the main menu by selecting Service>Show:

As you work with the Service Editor, you can see the properties for the different parts of the service in the Property Sheet.

Services files (.wsdl) are not directly used in business process. To use a service operation in a business process, define a service interaction file (.iface). In the business process, a call to a service operation is contained in an .iface file, which is edited using the Service Interaction Editor.
