Schema Editor Preferences

Setting preferences allows you to define user and implementation settings. The schema editor preference allows you to determine whether the facets associated with elements and attributes are displayed on the schema viewer. The default setting for this preference is True.

To set the Schema Editor preference:

  1. From the Preferences navigator, select Schema Editor. The Schema Editor preferences window displays.

  2. From the drop-list, select one of the following:

 

True

Turns on the display of facets in the schema viewer.

False

Turns off the display of facets in the schema viewer.

 

Note: For any large schemas which have simpleTypes, switching off the display of facets can speed up the loading and display of large schemas in the Viewer. It also makes the schema more readable because there may be fewer nodes to display.

  1. Click Apply to make the changes or Restore Defaults to return to the original configuration.

  2. Click OK.

The dialog box closes and the specified preference is set.
