Reusing Runtime Instance Configuration Data

You can export and reuse the configurations used in a runtime instance either as saved in the exported file or customized.

Prerequisite: Exporting Runtime Instance Configuration Data

To reuse exported configuration data:

  1. Save the current runtime instance configuration data to a file.
You can export runtime instance configuration data, archive the file, or send it by email, shared folders, or other file transfer mechanism.

  2. Reuse the file as saved or customize the configuration properties as needed for a particular runtime instance.
See example runtime instance configuration file.

  3. Transfer the configuration file to the server hosting the Unwired Orchestrator server.
The method for transferring depends on your organization's network configuration and security policies.

  4. Use clagent to reconfigure the runtime instance.
The configuration file is specified using the reconfigure_instance option. See Working with Agent Server Instances from the Command Line.

NOTE: As described in the example runtime instance configuration file, you can specify endpoints for such properties as the Error and NoHit queues. Those endpoints must be defined in Directory Services for deployment to successfully complete and for the runtime instance to start.
