Editors

The editor area of a perspective is where a resource is created or modified. You can double-click a resource in the Orchestration Navigator to open its editor. An editor opens with the selected resource name in the editor’s tab. The resource type determines what type of editor is opened. For example, if you are creating a business process, the Business Process Editor opens.

Tool Palettes

An editor opens with an associated tool palette. The editor's tool palette contains the tools necessary to work in the editor. For example, the Rule Set editor's tool palettes contain Boolean operators such as greater than, less than, AND, and OR as well as field functions such as min, max, and sum.

Tabs

More than one editor can be opened at a time, but only one editor is active. Each open editor has a tab labeled with its resource name. To switch to a different editor, click its tab. If numerous editors are open, scroll arrows appear to the left of the editor tabs. You can scroll through these tabs to view the open editors.  When an editor is active, the main menu bar and toolbar display tools applicable to that editor.

Unsaved Changes

An asterisk displayed on the left-hand side of the editor's tab indicates that the editor contains unsaved changes. If you are closing either the editor or the application, you are prompted to save these changes. You can close either one selected open editor or all open editors at one time.  If you are closing all open editors, you are prompted to save the changes in any editor that contains unsaved changes.
