Editing ASA Service Port Settings on Windows

Use the following procedures to edit port settings on any of the following Adaptive Server Anywhere (ASA) database services:

• Alerts database

• BizTracker Rules and Formatter database

• BizTracker Runtime database

• Directory Services

• JMS database

You can reference the port settings for each service using the <install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\install*_asa.bat scripts.

To edit port settings for an ASA service on Windows:

1. Stop the IO_Jaguar service. Select Start>Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services.

2. In the Services window, right-click one of the following services and select Stop.

Adaptive Server Anywhere - BT58Runtime

Adaptive Server Anywhere - Io43DirectoryServices

Adaptive Server Anywhere - IO43JMS

3. Close the Services window.

4. Open a command window. Run one of the corresponding scripts to remove that service:

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\removeAMS42_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\removeBT58BTRuntime_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\removeBT58rulfmt_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\removeIO43DirSvs_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\removeIO43JMS_asa.bat

5. Open one of the following corresponding scripts. Search for ServerPort and edit the port setting:

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installBT58BTRuntime_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installBT58rulfmt_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installIO43DirSvs_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installIO43JMS_asa.bat

6. Run one of the corresponding scripts to reinstall the service:

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installAMS42_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installBT58BTRuntime_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installBT58rulfmt_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installIO43DirSvs_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\installIO43JMS_asa.bat

7. Run one of the corresponding scripts to restart the service:

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\startAMS42_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\startBT58BTRuntime_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\startBT58rulfmt_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\startIO43DirSvs_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\startIO43JMS_asa.bat

<install directory>\Orch-4_3\asa\startPS41State.bat

8. Edit the configuration of any component that references that port.
