Microsoft ActiveSync is required for communication between your desktop and mobile device. For Microsoft Vista, you must use the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) instead of ActiveSync. To install PocketBuilder and SQL Anywhere directly to a Pocket PC device, install ActiveSync or the WMDC before running the PocketBuilder or SQL Anywhere installation program.
