To start a server, your user account must have:
Windows NT administrator privileges, or you can use the default “sa” login
Access to the Adaptive Server distribution files
Access to a sql.ini file entry for the server
The system environment variables discussed in Chapter 1, “Introduction.”
The installation program creates the sql.ini file and system environment variables when you install servers on your computer.
