Using the Services Manager, the Monitor Server may fail to start and no error message is logged. Using the NT Registry Editor (regedt32.exe), perform the steps below to correct this problem.
Start the regedt32 utility.
Open the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\Services\SYBMON_MonServerName where MonServerName is the name of the Monitor Server.
Open the DependOnService value.
Choose OK.
Exit regedt32, shutdown and restart Windows NT.
