The sp_sysmon stored procedure and Monitor Server use the same internal counters. When sp_sysmon is invoked, it resets these counters to 0, which has the effect of resetting session totals that Monitor Server might be collecting on behalf of its clients. Do not expect to use sp_sysmon and Monitor Server clients simultaneously.
