In order for functional acknowledgements to work with the EC Gateway:
The trading partner must indicate what kind of 997 they want (short, full, or none).
The trading partner must specify whether they expect to receive functional acknowledgements.
The translog records are posted to a database – not a sequential file. This information will specify whether 997 transactions are expected.
