DDECommand command

This command sends a Microsoft Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) command from the client to the server. These commands allow the remote operation of specific applications in a Windows environment.

DDE Command

String containing command(s) recognized by the application on the server. This string must be enclosed in square brackets. For many applications, the DDE command is a statement or function in the applications macro language.

NoteMany of the DDE commands require arguments enclosed in quotation marks. Because quotation marks indicate the beginning and end of a string, in some applications you may have to use Chr$(34) to represent a quotation mark in a command string.

Application

Name of the application that will receive the DDE command.
