PWEncrypt

Description

PWEncrypt specifies whether you want Open Client to automatically encrypt your password when connecting to a Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise database in InfoMaker.

When to specify PWEncrypt You must specify the PWEncrypt parameter before connecting to the database.

Syntax

PWEncrypt='value'

Parameter	Description
value	Specifies whether you want the Open Client software to encrypt your password. Values are: Yes (Default) Tells Open Client to encrypt the password by setting the CS_SEC_ENCRYPTION connection property to CS_TRUE. No Tells Open Client not to encrypt the password by setting the CS_SEC_ENCRYPTION connection property to CS_FALSE.

To tell Open Client not to encrypt your password when connecting to a Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise database in InfoMaker, clear the Encrypt Password check box on the Network page in the Database Profile Setup dialog box.
