If the company name in a SySAM license file contains non-English characters, license validation fails with the error “Cannot find valid license.” This issue has been fixed in PowerBuilder 11.1. To resolve this issue for PowerBuilder 11.0, you can download a patch from the Sybase Web site:
Create a temporary directory on your computer.
Extract the contents of the PowerBuilder 11.0 DVD image that you downloaded from SPDC into this directory; or copy the contents of the PowerBuilder 11.0 DVD into this directory.
Download the PowerBuilder 11.0 installer patch from the Sybase downloads site.
Extract the contents of the zip file into the temporary directory, overwriting existing files with the same file name.
Read the instructions in the PB110install.txt file.
Run autorun.exe from the temporary directory and follow the instructions in the Installation Guide.
