An LTM for the RSSD is installed with the Replication Server if the Replication Server is the source site for any route. In addition, a database in a replication system requires an LTM if:
The database holds primary data, or
Replicated stored procedures are executed in the database
The following sections describe how to maintain LTMs for the RSSD and the databases in your system.
The only task you may need to perform for the RSSD LTM is modifying the configuration file. An LTM configuration file contains information the LTM needs to find the database log it is transferring and the Replication Server to which it is transferring the log.
