To create a standalone program outside Adaptive Server, you must set your CLASSPATH environment variable to include the directories that contain xerces.jar and xml.zip. For UNIX , enter:
setenv CLASSPATH $SYBASE/ASE-12_5/lib/xerces.jar
$SYBASE/ASE-12_5/lib/xml.zip
For Windows NT, enter:
set CLASSPATH = D:\%SYBASE%\ASE-12_5\lib\xerces.jar
D:\%SYBASE%\ASE-12_5\lib\xml.zip
