If the license manager is not running, you must start the license manager manually.
Use the UNIX command:
$SYBASE/$SYBASE_SYSAM/bin/lmgrd -c $LM_LICENSE_FILE &
Alternatively, run the startd.sh script in the bin directory:
$SYBASE/$SYBASE_SYSAM/bin/startd.sh $SYBASE/$SYBASE_SYSAM
