In this step, try out the employeeSales application from the Portal Interface. The application enables you to view sales figures for each sales representative, by region and customer identifier.
Using the mobile application in Portal Interface
Access Portal Interface by opening another browser session and navigating to:

Click Join Now to set up a new account. See the Portal Interface User’s Guide for information about Portal Interface and accounts.
Log in using the new account. The DefaultPage displays. You see the Welcome window and the employeeSales application.
Try out the employeeSales application. For convenience, maximize the window. By default, “Western” is selected in the region drop-down list.
With Western selected for the region, click OK. Sales representatives in the Western region display. You can see their sales figures.
Click the 119 link to display information about one of Philip Chin’s customers. Customer information displays for Thomm Smith.
In cust_id, enter 126
and
click OK to see customer information for Sam Ovar.
Select “Central” from the region drop-down
list, enter 110 in cust_id
,
and click OK. Data for Michael Agliori displays.
Personalize the region parameter to display only customers in the Central region:
Click My Info, and select the Personalize tab.
Region key – enter Central
.
Click Done.
Try out the employeeSales application again:
Click the Sybase logo in the upper-left corner to return to the employeeSales application.
Click the region drop-down list and notice that only Central is included.
Click Log Out in the upper-right corner when you are finished. The Portal Login window displays.
